Educational Qualification for NPCIL:
1. Scientific Assistant – B – Diploma in Engineering of 3 (Three) years duration (after 10th/12th) OR 12th + 2 (Two) years Diploma Course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE). Diploma in Engineering should be in the following Stream: i. SA/B (Civil) – Diploma in Civil with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks ii. SA/B (Electrical) – Diploma in Electrical with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks iii. SA/B (Instrumentation) – Diploma in Instrumentation with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks iv. SA/B (Electronics) – Diploma in Electronics with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks v. SA/B (Mechanical) – Diploma in Mechanical with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks For candidates applying for SA/B (Computer Science): BSc. (Computer Science) with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks / BSc with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks + 1 year Diploma in Computer Science with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks / BSc. Category – I: Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – ST/SA (Diploma Holders in Engineering): Diploma in Engineering with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks in relevant discipline recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India; the Diploma in Engineering should be of 03 (three) years duration after 10th)/ 12th OR Two years Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline through Lateral Entry to 2nd year after 12th approved by AICTE with not less than 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks Candidates with Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after 10th + ITI are not eligible. English should have been one of the subjects covered in the SSC or HSC level exams. Diploma in Engineering should be in the following Streams: i. ST/SA (Electrical) – Diploma in Electrical Engineering ii. Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant (Mechanical) – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering iii. ST/SA (Instrumentation) – Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering iv. Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant (Electronics) – Diploma in Electronics Engineering Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant (Health Physics): BSc. with minimum of 60% (Sixty Percentage) marks. B.Sc. with Physics as Principal & Chemistry/Statistics/ Maths/Electronics & Computer Science (CS) as Subsidiary OR B.Sc. with Chemistry as Mathematics/ Principal & Physics/ Statistics/ Electronics & Computer Science as Subsidiary OR BSc. with equal weights assigned to Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The candidate should have studied mathematics at the HSC (10+2) level and English as one of the courses at the SSC or HSC levels. Candidates who have mathematics as their primary B.Sc. subjects are ineligible. |
3. Category – II: Stipendiary Trainee/ Technician (ST/Technician) – SSC (10th) with minimum 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in Science Subject (s) and Mathematics individually + 2 years ITI certificate in the relevant trade. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant work experience following course completion for trades where the ITI course lasts less than two years. Applicants should have studied English as one of the subjects at least at 10th Level. |
4. Assistant Grade – 1 (HR) – HSC (12th) or ISC with Science Stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths Subject) with minimum 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate. At least at the SSC (10th) Level, the candidate should have taken English as one of their subjects. |
5. Assistant Grade – 1 (F&A) – Any Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate from a recognised University / Institution. |
