Educational Qualification for Coimbatore DHS:
| 1. Medical Officer – MBBS |
| 2. Health Inspector Gr II – Must have passed plus two with Biology or Botany and Zoology. Tamil language Proficiency at the S.S.L.C. level is required. The Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine requires two years of training in Multipurpose Health Worker (Male), Inspector, Or Sanitary Inspector Courses Offered By Reputable Private Institutions, Trusts, Universities, Or Prestigious Institutions, Such As Gandhigram Rural Institute Training Course Certificate. |
| 3. Staff Nurse – DGNM or B.Sc., Nursing |
| 4. Hospital Worker/ Support Staff – Should have studied minimum 8th standard. Reading and writing skills are required. |
| 5. ANM – (i) Must have passed Higher Secondary (+2). (ii) Must have completed the two-year Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery Training Program or Multi-Purpose Health Workers (Female) Training Program offered by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
